Indeed is the picture made with a talented hand, all of it done in pencil! Not a single digital adjustment?! The detail is so well defined and strong that you could really feel a sense that this is a genuine portrait of a German-esque fighter! The shadowing and highlights are extreme in their precise placement, and to be honest, I can't find anything to complain about!...Well...unless I could ask for coloring, but that would ruin the feel of the atmosphere that the black and white gives.
In the end: a marvalous piece of devoution to the craft, keep it up! EIN BLITZ KREIG!!!
This image is just lovely.
It is very sharp and amazingly detailed.
The shading is brilliant and the textures work
really well with the image.
There are two things that sell the image for me in a big way. The first is the white background, it creates a fantastic contrast against the black tones of the person. It also gives it a great old time black and white feel.
The second is the mask. The lack of a face there is brilliant. The viewer is unable to connect on a very basic level with the image and it creates a somewhat alienated and unsure feeling. It also gives the impression of an emotionless robot.
Great work!
